The AWARO® project space technology links all those involved in the project via a central Internet-based cooperation platform, which users can use via the web browser, without having to install the software. Users can thus access the information which they are authorized to use from anywhere. AWARO® offers ideal conditions for project control through quality specifications in document management and systematic task tracking. The virtual project space is the ideal complement to classic project management tools, which are focused on project planning.

This technology is very useful if the people involved in the project work on an organization-wide, project-oriented basis and if project partners needs to be coordinated with tight time lines and cost pressure. Tasks for the data centre service provider TelecityGroup

The project space technology AWARO® is a ready-to-use web-based solution that we provide for our customers in the Internet for the desired period of time (Software as a Service – SaaS).

We therefore need a data centre infrastructure with excellent Internet connectivity for our servers. Most of our users are in Central Europe, but as we also support construction projects in Asia and the Middle East, connection to globally operating carriers is particularly important.

Reliable, continuous operation of our service 24/7 is also crucially important.

Finally, AirITSystems as a provider of holistic security solutions also expects the same high level of quality from our partners and suppliers as we ourselves offer.

The TelecityGroup solution

We use the Colocation offering from TelecityGroup. TelecityGroup provides us with racks for our server infrastructure in their data centre and offers us complete infrastructure services, from continuous power supply to Internet connection.

In order to achieve maximum failsafe Internet connectivity, we use the Multihome IP connection, which offers redundant connection to several IP backbones of renowned carriers.

In addition, connection of our switches to the TelecityGroup technology is executed in a redundant manner, in order to be able to intercept the failure of individual ports.

Why TelecityGroup?

As an independent provider, TelecityGroup offers us a complete state-of-the-art data centre infrastructure. For us, one of the major advantages over the competition was the redundant connection to several globally operating carriers.

One important quality feature for both us and our customers is that TelecityGroup hosts one of the DE-CIX nodes in the same data centre. This guarantees an ideal bandwidth connection to all major German Internet access providers.

In addition, one of the crucial factors was the proximity to our office location in Frankfurt am Main, so that our staff can have physical access to our servers day and night, as required.

TelecityGroup’s certification according to ISO 27001 was an important factor for our corporate clients.

Furthermore, we were able to agree upon an individually tailored price model with TelecityGroup, which allows us to scale as needed.
