Michael Tobin named regional winner of Ernst & Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’

TelecityGroup CEO receives prestigious award for driving innovation and growth

Michael Tobin, Chief Executive Officer of TelecityGroup, the leading provider of premium network independent data centres in Europe, has been named as an Ernst & Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the London and South regional finals. The award is the world’s most prestigious business accolade for entrepreneurs, recognising individuals who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement.

Tobin particularly impressed the judges with his strong leadership and the culture of innovation he has fostered at TelecityGroup. Tobin led the company through a successful IPO and subsequent sustained market growth. Additionally, he has led the industry in terms of implementing energy efficient processes, including TelecityGroup’s early adoption of the new EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres.
