Both the Group and CEO Mike Tobin recognised
18 February 2008: TelecityGroup, a pan-European provider of network independent data centres, today announced it has been shortlisted in two categories at the UK Technology Innovation and Growth Awards 2008 which recognise and celebrate individuals, organisations and partnerships across the technology industry. The Group has been recognised in the ‘IPO of the Year’ category, and CEO Mike Tobin has been recognised in the ‘Technology CEO of the Year - Small & Medium Cap Public Firm’ category.
The ‘Technology CEO of the Year’ category is awarded to the CEO of a UK based public firm with market cap of up to £500m, who has shown exceptional leadership and success in transforming the business. The ‘IPO of the Year’ category recognises IPOs which took place in 2007, taking into consideration the amount of money raised, costs of float, timing, the type of company being floated, the size of company and its sector.
Mike Tobin, CEO of TelecityGroup, says: “It’s a great honour to be shortlisted by The UK Technology and Innovation Growth forum and a reflection of the hard work and dedication that TelecityGroup employees contribute to the business. 2007 was a busy and exciting year for us as we consolidated our position as the leading content and connectivity hub for enterprises and service providers across Europe and successfully floated the business on the London Stock Exchange. We are pleased to be recognised for these achievements.”
The 2008 UK Technology Innovation and Growth gala dinner and awards ceremony takes place on Tuesday 18th March.
